Haboro deep-water shrimp is sweet, delicious and is characterized by a meat that is quite tight. This is where you’ll find the largest catch in Japan of this shrimp. The shrimp can of course be served as sashimi, and deep frying it with the shell and all, or making some miso soup from the soup stock coming out of its head, or having it prepared other ways also allow you to experience a taste you’ll find only in Haboro. At the Haboro Deepwater Shrimp Festival, visitors can enjoy a variety of food items using fresh deep-water shrimp from Haboro along with other shrimp.
