Fujimigaoka Park is well-known as a park from which you can see Rishirifuji (Mt. Rishiri), which stretches out at the eastern side of Michi-no-Eki (Roadside Rest Areas) “Fujimi”. Inside the park, there are wild bird observation huts and nature observation paths that are maintained, meaning that visitors can enjoy some bird watching and observe plants and smaller animals.
Late May is the best time to see many cherry blossom flowers and to enjoy the viewing of the blossoms against the backdrop of Rishirifuji. At the Michi-no-Eki (Roadside Rest Areas), you’ll also find fresh flowers and vegetables being sold at Fresh Market Kanamu, which is set up by farmers every Sunday during June-October.
