Events, Experiences, Sights, Spring

Shibazakura Takinoue Park evokes the feeling of a pink carpet comprised of large groups of Shibazakura (moss pink) with blossoms blooming on an expansive hillside that’s about 100,000 square meters in terms of area. At Takinoue Park Shibazakura Festival, an event held from early May to early June in conjunction with the blooming season, visitors can enjoy sightseeing via helicopter flyovers.

What’s more, the Niji-no-Hashi (Rainbow Bridge) is a spot from which you can view a stunning landscape comprised of the shibazakura and a valley. The Shokotsu River’s Niji-no-Hashi (Rainbow Bridge) is a national rarity in that it features two stories. Using a prism (a clear triangular pole), directing light at the drain underneath the floor of the 1st story creates a rainbow.
